"L" was originally just a standard NVK Escort Droid. Scientists implanted it with a crystal (Subject OP-72) from The Dark Continent, attempting to develop "Bio-Magnetic Camouflage" capable of resisting magnetic interference and syncing with environmental frequencies. After the implant, the experimental droid remained unable to boot up—until... that magnetic storm accidentally activated it.
"L" dug Valerius out of the ruins. Evidently, its core logic was damaged, leaving it unable to identify itself or the man it saved. When detecting magnetic storms or approaching predators, "L" uses the crystal’s properties to provide early warning, violating standard escort protocols to drag Valerius to safety immediately. Even more intriguingly, "L"'s core algorithm seems to have reclassified Valerius as a "Vulnerable Juvenile Organism"—although it requires no sustenance itself, it persistently scours the land for unpolluted water and protein, clumsily forcing Valerius to consume them...
